. I'm checking my transcript (for about the fifth time), noticed something, checked the movie, and I don't think I missed seeing it...
Nile gets to 15th floor, allows herself to be shot, then revives to shoot those three guards. Picks up Andy's labrys and her pistol -- but not the rifle -- and goes on the hunt.
Is there any kind of logistical reason why she wouldn't take the rifle? She isn't out of ammo (and should have a spare magazine, anyway). Is there a military sense there that I don't understand, or is it movie hand-waving?
I'm -- kinda-sorta, not very hard, but who knows? -- toying with the idea of "storyizing" my transcript, to make it read a little smoother. If I do, I need a reason why she'd leave a weapon behind. And even if I don't, I want to know, dammit! An experienced military person shouldn't be so careless... or is there an underlying strategy that I don't understand?
(I hope that's it. I hate when movies make characters stupid because it's easier to make the plot work. Phooey.) .
Can you explain?
