World Cup Snippet author's notes

During a recent chat, participants were invited to do 20-minute ‘creative sprints’. If we had no ideas, our moderator suggested ‘World Cup’ as a prompt.

I have absolutely no interest in team-ball sports. European football (soccer), American football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, tennis... I completely ignore all of them. Thus, my knowledge of the World Cup is minimal. I know what kind of ball they use and that they play a ‘match’ instead of a ‘game’. I know you have to get the ball into the net to score. That’s it; not much to build a story on, LOL! I was planning to just ignore the ‘creative’ time, but Blair started talking... Then for the second sprint, my brain demanded cover art. <shrug> Apparently I can occasionally rise to a challenge.
